The Man Who Could Walk Through Walls

In this project, I had to interpret Marcel Aymé’s story into a 24-panel, black-and-white wordless sequential narrative. I chose to focus on the power dynamic between the two main characters, as an analogy for the French Resistance. I designed the main character to look like Jean Moulin, a hero of the resistance, and the antagonist to look like Phillipe Pétain, who was the head of the collaboration with Germany. I created the panels digitally, exaggerating tones and expressions to enhance the mood of each scene.
